Two peas in a pod is what we call ourselves, that's how we ended up with Peapod Acres. With 21 acres of fields and woods we thought alpacas would be a perfect fit for us. We are constantly adding to our operation and trying new things while staying as "green" as we can.
We intend to breed the finest animals we can, in colors that will be the most desirable to the growing alpaca fiber market. Long held low micron fleece is our goal along with producing the highest quality animals we can. We spend countless hours researching animals and making decisions with our long term goals in mind.
Peapod Acres is operated in conjunction with Healthy Balance Wellness Center which is also located on the property serving your alternative health and wellness needs. Alpaca products and local Amish goods are also available in the Wellness Center store.
We are located in Ashland, Ohio just minutes from I-71 and right off exit 186, just around the corner from Grandpa's Cheesebarn. We are also convenient to US42 and State Route 89.
Farm Terms & Financing
Flexible financing available with many options to fit a buyers needs. Just ask what we can do for you!
We definitely understand the toughness of our current economic times, so we are not charging interest on our financing.
The terms of our financing are: Animals must stay boarded at our farm until 50% of the purchase price has been paid.
Proof of mortality insurance must be provided in the amount financed.
The registration of alpacas and crias will remain in our name until purchase price is paid in full.
Any cria born at this time will be owned by Peapod Acres Alpacas until purchase price is paid in full.
