Next Chapter Alpaca is a proud “Veteran-Owned Business.”
I am a proud member of the Alpaca Owners Association (AOA) and our alpacas are registered with this association. You can find us there at https://www.alpacainfo.com
When my wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer, I started reducing the herd so I could spend more time with her. Like I mentioned earlier, I would have gotten rid of the alpacas, but the Harvest Hosts guests chose this farm because of the alpacas so I kept a reduced herd - males.
Our main herd shire RDE Peruvian Trecini AOA 32759068, was scheduled to go to the Vet, but I found him dead the morning of his appointment. I contacted the Peeka Ranch, another alpaca farm in the area, and purchased one of their older males, Tex. He is a white Huacaya. He is very friendly and will come up and eat pellets out of you hand without being on a halter. When I went to pick up Tex, Phil had me drive to another farm that had gotten alpacas for her grandkids. There was one small male Huacaya - 1 year old - that was with the females that were purchased. She did not have a separate pasture and shed for that little male, so she gave him to me. My daughter named him Coco Puff. He is very friendly also and will come up and eat pellets out of your hands.
I offer:
• Mentoring individuals interested in alpacas (barn and pasture setup, if wanted)

Huacaya & Suri Alpacas
“A Veteran Owned Business”
Next Chapter Alpacas is a full-service farm with Huacaya and Suri alpacas. They are so cute!
The focus has changed at the farm. On 28 Oct 2021, Cora was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. As she got sicker, I started selling some of the alpacas so I could spend more time with her. She passed away on 6 Feb 2023. We are also a Harvest Host member and I asked the RVers if they stopped by because we were between point "A" and "C" or because of the alpacas. The response was always because of the alpacas. I have kept 4 male alpacas at the farm. The Harvest Host guests come because of the alpacas, but leave loving the miniature donkeys more, because they are interactive with the guests.
The bloodline of the remaining livestock includes Peruvian and Chilean.
