Farm Visits Available by Appointment

Nestled peacefully in McLeod county west of Minneapolis graze the Little Sisters and Brothers of The Abbey. With quiet enthusiasm we are dedicated to breeding and raising quality “Huacaya” alpacas.

At The Abbey, we pride ourselves in providing the very best quality alpacas to our customers. We constantly strive for excellence in the following areas: overall quality, excellent conformation, uniform color, dense fiber, incredible crimp, and full coverage. Our desire is to provide you with experienced personal service, committed support, and a vow to share our knowledge and success with those who choose the rewards of raising these heavenly animals.

We are registered members of Alpaca Owners Association, Inc (AOA) and our alpacas are registered with the Alpaca Registry, Inc. (ARI).

In addition to promoting this wonderful animal we sell many alpaca products from raw fiber to yarn to finished scarves, hats, mittens, socks, and more. Many of our products are hand knitted or crocheted with yarn made from the fleeces of our alpacas right here in Minnesota. Please visit www.theabbeyalpacas.com to view all of our products.

Interested in learning more about alpacas? We offer Farm Visits where you are able to ask questions about the Little Sisters and Brothers of The Abbey, see them up close, and feed them from your hand! We will also explain how their fleece is processed and ends up in the beautiful products in the Farm Store. Our Farm Store carries all the products you see on the website and many, many more!

Farm Visits and the Farm Store are both available by Appointment Only. If interested in either, please email to make arrangements!
