Bachelors Ready to Settle Down
Package Type: Same Breed
After 2 years straight of nothing but males, the time has come to release a few of my boys to a home which will offer them the breeding opportunities that I just cannot. As these males are young, the preference would be for all three of them to go together, but the package can be broken up and individual males released if going to a home where they will be living with other male alpacas.
This particular group has been selected with the intent of offering a wider range of genetic options (within my small herd's limited means) and a wider range of specific traits which should complement any herd looking to produce show quality animals who won't miss a beat in the fleece production department.
FTP Ukko is a light fawn male out of lines well known for their capacity to produce colour, as well as fleece length and coverage. This boy cut a total of 7.2lbs of fleece in 2023, averaging 160mm at the midside (120mm upper neck). His sire, Erasmus, is a heavy cutting fleeced male who continues to produce 110-130mm long fleece without compromising in organization or density. Anasazi, his dam, is a compact, well built female who also maintains excellent fleece regrowth well into maturity, in addition to a low degree of primary fibres into her prime fleece. Ukko is correctly built, robust in health, and would do well in any program looking to add length to their herd. His lineage includes colour, through High Plains Apache, density through Rockwell Brew, and length through Hummingherd's Rum Runner.
Tiger Lily High Errandi is a gorgeous multi male with a genetic background to really excite. With Foundation, Shaka, and High Cotton in his lineage, he will pair well with many females. He displays a highly organized, stylish fleece that is heavy cutting and bright, alongside stocky, compact conformation and the gentlest temperament one could ever hope for. He has started breeding and has settled his first females. He would make a great addition to a program looking for a breeding male who can grow quality fleece, and still be gentle enough for PR work in agritourism.
FTP Parhelion is a light fawn yearling who is displaying a well organized, dense fleece with a very nice retention of fineness and an attractive crimp style that has already seen him hold his own in the halter and fleece rings. Parhelion is maturing into a well grown, robust male, with a good head on his shoulders. His total shear weight in 2023 was 9.2lbs, averaging 120mm at the midside. He would be an asset to any program looking to add density, fineness, and organization into their herd. His lineage includes Elite General Ledger, and Peruvian Bonanza.
