- What is the difference between a farm visit and trekking?
We offer two types of experiences. A farm visit allows you to enter the pen, sit with, feed, pet, and take pictures of the animals. Alpaca trekking lets you lead the animals along pre-cut trails through our 100-acre property.
- What can I expect during an alpaca tour?
During an alpaca tour, you can expect to learn about alpaca care, observe them in their natural environment, and have the opportunity to feed, pet, and take pictures.
- How long do alpaca tours usually last?
The guided tours scheduled to last 1 hour, with breaks throughout to avoid constant walking.
- Are alpaca tours suitable for children?
To walk an alpaca, participants must be at least 12 years old. Children younger than 12 must be accompanied by an adult (18+ years old).
- Do I need to make a reservation for an alpaca tour?
Yes, reservations are required for our tours. Without a reservation, you may be asked to leave the property.
- What should I wear on an alpaca tour?
Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes. Be prepared for varying weather conditions and consider dressing in layers. We also recommend bringing bug spray, water, and a snack.
- Can I bring my dog?
As much as we love all animals, including our own dogs, we kindly ask that you do not bring dogs or other pets to the farm. For the safety and comfort of our alpacas and visitors, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
