About us

It all started with "we should get a few backyard chickens". And here we are nestled on 5 acres in the heart of it all, northeast Ohio with a flock, a herd, a few rescue dogs and a horse named Moses!

If you rewind 25+ years you'd find me a girl from the suburbs that didn't know people had backyard chickens, and thought food came from the grocery store (Silly me!) enter a man from the country saying someday you'll want to make bread and raise chickens. He obviously forgot to mention the goats!

There was a huge wake up call when i found myself working long hours, nights/weekends, holidays and everything in between. I was missing out on raising my son, and spending time with my family. Now spring, summer, and autumn you'll find us in the pasture, in the barn, or pulling weeds in the garden.

While there was a huge learning curve when this all started, this reformed girl from suburbia knows it was all worth it!

LIVE, LAUGH, FARM!

Sharyn
