     Xin nian kuai le!

Alpacas of Marin would like to invite the Asian community and friends to celebrate Spring Festival 2015 (is that the year of the Sheep or the year of the Alpaca?!) at our farm in Nicasio, 15 miles west of Petaluma. We will have an "open house" from 12 to 4 pm both Saturday, Feb. 21 and Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015.

Plenty of opportunities for "selfies" with alpacas, and the first 100 visitors will get a sample of alpaca fleece (wool) in a special "red envelope".  Alpacas like to have their photographs taken, and they like calm small children (and adults who are calm).

Admission is $20/person.  Please note that parking is limited, but free.  We encourage groups to come, and if you have a 4WD vehicle, it will be easier to park.  Also, bathroom facilities are very limited, but the resort town of Point Reyes Station is nearby with many restaurants and shops to visit, as well as the gorgeous National Park. Please remember, this is a working farm, not an amusement park.

Wear sensible clothing!! Rainboots are ideal for walking in alpaca pens.  Be prepared for sun, WIND, and cool weather.  And PLEASE don't bring any pets--this is a working farm, and alpacas are frightened of strange dogs.  Visitors assume liability for any injuries.

Also, please check out our on-line store of Alpaca-related items at www.zazzle.com/alpacasofmarin* .  We think the Chinese community in particular will appreciate the message of the alpacas.

Please let me know if you are coming to the Spring Festival, so that I can be prepared.  Email at [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you!
