August 2022 News from the Ranch

Yak meat sales -

2022 has been a year of changes.  Do to the non availability of local USDA processing for retail cuts.  We are no longer selling retail cuts of our yummy yak from any location.  We are now transitioning to on farm slaughter with half and whole cull cows or butcher bulls available starting in August.   Call/text or email to get on the list for a on farm slaughter date.  

Starter herd sales - 

We have finally gotten to the numbers where we can now offer starter herds.  So if you are looking for a hardy meat animal that fits Alaska, yak is where it's at.  We have 2 starter herds for sale.  1 bull and 2 cow/heifers for $8500.  If you are seriously looking for a great animal to grow some awesome meat now is your chance.  "Cause once you've had yak you'll never go back"!
