About Us

Our diverse herd includes proven genetics from Futurity herd sires, DDF Peruvian Macgyver, Pucara Kahuna, and Meadowgate Peruvian Saber, as well as, Accoyo's Torbio, Jackpot, and Kalvin (just to name a few).

Three goals have become a mainstay at Fort Fisher Suri Alpacas:

1)  To consistently improve fiber and maintain correct conformational qualities in the next generation per Suri Breed Standards.

This breeding selection is qualified by the following:

     a)  diverse & proven genetics
     b)  histogram results for objective evaluations
     c)  four specific fiber qualities:  luster, consistent lock structure, density, and good handle
     d)  easy-going dispositions
     e)  halter, fleece, & spin off competitions for subjective evaluations from AOA certified
           judges and professional fiber artists

2)  Demonstrate our personal high standards of honesty, integrity, diligence, and servitude in all business dealing with other alpaca breeders and clients alike. To live by the Golden Rule as stated by Christ, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

3)  Obtain continued education through seminars, networking, and alpaca periodicals and web media. This education is utilized for the sole purpose of improving the North American fiber producing alpaca and providing current, up-to-date, and on-going information and support for our clients.
