Products are made from animals raised on this farm and is 100% alpaca. This farm specializes in Huacaya. The Huacaya alpaca has a dense, crimped, woolly, water-resistant fleece. The fiber of the alpaca can be used for clothing. Alpaca fiber is softer than cashmere or angora, and warmer and lighter weight than wool, without the prickle-factor that some wool has. Since alpaca fleece has no lanolin, it is easier to process and is hypoallergenic.
The fiber from these gentle creatures is harvested once a year then spun into yarn. Some of the fiber is processed professionally at a local mill or hand spun right here on the farm. These products are made available to you from this website.
