Red Granite Ranch is pleased to announce the availability of Red Granites Snapdragon at the 2017 Snow Diamond Select Sale. Snapdragon has been exposed and spit off to our 16-time judges' choice winner Red Granites Val D Lsere. Snapdragon will be ultrasound soon, but not in time for the catalog. This was a difficult choice to make. Red Granites Snapdragon is one of our best, this being the reason we bred her to Val D Lsere. Snapdragon has an excellent phenotype along with great fleece. She would be classified as high frequency, medium amplitude, fine and dense. Just like her champion background from both sides of her pedigree. Do not let this beauty slip away! We thought long and hard before making this decision. She will have many years of producing champion offspring ahead of her.

Red Granites Snapdragon's dam, Crescent Moon's Sassie is one of our top production females and has given us a few banner winners, one being Red Granites Shakira, the 2016 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular Brown Female Color Champion, and who is now owned by Crescent Moon Ranch. Crescent Moon's Sassie is sired by 5Peruvian Chaccu, an imported stud from Peru and has been known to throw only the best, and is owned by Crescent Moon Ranch. If we dig a little deeper into Snapdragons half-sister, Shakira, she went on to produce Crescent Moon's Sizzlin Shak who went on to win many, many championship banners. So without a doubt, Snapdragon has it loaded with endless chances of producing champions when she is bred to the right male.

Now, if we wonder onto Snapdragon's sire, Red Granites MR Firestroms side we will see yet again some remarkable alpacas. Red Granites MR Firestorm is sired by our amazing male Snowmass Matrix Rose, one of our herdsires who started our Red Granites Val D Lsere line. Snowmass Matrix Rose is a very well known male here at Red Granite Ranch as he produced Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose our multi-champion male and the 2016 Herdsire of the year. MR Sizlin Rose then went on to produce Red Granites Val D Lsere, the 3x AOA National Dark Male Supreme champion, and 29-time Color/Reserve Champion male, whos crias are now winning big in shows. If we look at MR Firestorms show record he was crowned the 2013 ABR Fall Festival Alpaca Show Brown Male Color Champion, and won 5 first places, along with many other ribbons. MR Firestorms 4th shearing in 2016, had an AFD of 25.58, at 4 years of age!
