Description

We gave Kanita this year off from production, allowing some younger females to fill her spot. This also gives us some time to consider what would be the best option for a Stud to allow her elite traits to be expressed in her offspring. As we believe, with the right Stud, that the resulting offspring would be extraordinary. We have a great selection of up and coming Sires to choose from, so with the knowledge of their bloodlines and family stock on our farm, we will zero in on her suiter.

Kanita has solidified herself to be one the best female alpacas to set foot on Canadian soil. At the CNASF 2019 at 35 months old, in front of world recognized Alpaca Judge Arturo Pena, was placed Supreme Champion against all, including the males. This was amazing accomplishment in many ways as she was highly considered for this position the previous year, judged Amanda Vandenbosh. Kanita was the first Brown alpaca to win the CNASF and the first Brown Female to win it. She has won multiple Championships in both Fleece and Show ring but this was the pinnacle of her show career. Her picture perfect Phenotype supporting an extremely dense, consistent fleece across her whole body, puts her with elite group of females. Her fawn colored dam Birchleaf Sunita is a Supreme herself and multi Champion and her sire is the great Impact Stud MFI & TNT Peruvian Foundation. Here is something quite amazing, Kanita and her dam were 17.7 micron on their 1st shearing's at 1 year old :)
