Red Granites Bojangles has the pedigree of a potentially high-class breeding male.

Together with the leading sires in his pedigree; XXXtreme, Matrix Majesty and Matrix, Bojangles ranks among Legionnaires top-winning sons. He inherited plenty of the talent that had made Legionnaire the outstanding fawn male Color Champion at the prestigious 2015 Futurity Show & Sale as well as 2015 AOA National Fawn Male Reserve Champion, while Bojangles was awarded the 2021 AOA National Light Male Reserve Champion banner as a yearling under Wade Gease.

Bojangles is out of an RGR foundation female; Snowmass Matrix Breckenridge who is sired by Snowmass Matrix and by Snowmass Cashmina, the great foundation female that is related by being the grand-dam to Snowmass Smokin (owned by Quechua Enterprises LLC) and distantly related to Snowmass Divine Legacy XX. Snowmass Matrix Breckenridge has produced the finest animals here at Red Granite Ranch and every single one of her offspring have at least two or more traits in the Top 1% of EPDs in 2021 and they all had microns below 21 in 2022 & 2023.

Red Granites Bojangles carries through with an exceptional lingering fine and uniform fleece, that is very typical of both his dam and sire. Upon closer inspection, Bojangles has a very low primary fiber count, even well into his extremities. He has great density and brightness, along with a great staple. At 4-years-old he boasted an impressive 19.9 micron fleece with a 3.8 SD and CURV of 54.9.

Looking for Top 1% EPDs? Bojangles is ranked Top 1% in 4 traits and Top 5% (1.14% & 1.38%) in two, while also being Top 15% in Fleece Weight for 2023, with accuracies at 0.4 and 0.5. He will improve a female in her fineness, uniformity, reduce primary fiber count, and improve her density!

We welcomed our first Bojangles cria in August of 2023. A stunning and healthy 18lb light fawn male out of a Snowmass Andean Velvet daughter! We are expecting more Bojangle progeny in the years ahead, you might want to join in as well!
