Her Sire, Champion Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose has been noticed as one of the top black producing males here in the United States, as well as one of the best producing males of champion colors here in the United States.

Her Dam, MFI Hathaway's Hideout is an exceptional black foundation dam, all of her crias have been true black or bay black colors and she has been bred to brown and black sires. Her first offspring, RGR Hercules (sired by LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight) was awarded the 2017 Futurity Black Male Reserve Champion banner as a 2-year-old male, almost 3-year-old. His 2016 micron test reads: 20.6, 3.8, 18.5, 1.5, 38.4, 19.6. Another bonus to this super-stud black female is 3/5 crias have been females, and when they are males they are champions. She is sired by MFI Peruvian Black Mesquite and by Hathaway Rose, an exception Black Peruvian Royal Forest daughter.

Hummingbird herself have has given birth to two crias, male and female. Her first progeny, Red Granites Hum Dinger (sired by Kiriwn) is a stunning white female with no dark fibers in her fleece. In 2021 her fleece tested at 24.3 microns with a 4.6 SD, as a 2-year-old. Hummingbird's second progeny, Red Granites Humming Hawk (sired by Red Granites McCoy) is a deep-dark brown male, possibly turning bay black. He is simply perfect and had a 2021 micron test that reads: 17.0, 3.9, 23.1, 0.5, 44.6, 16.8.

With reserved Hummingbird's two offspring for our program while also having her full-sister already locked into our foundation herd we feel safe releasing her to the world. We know that the search for black alpacas has been high in demand over the past few years, and we hope with offering a three-time champion black female by one of best black producing Herdsires in the country someone will jump at the oppourinity to improve their black/dark program. We offer Hummingbird with a non-transferable breeding to any unrelated herdsire we own.
