Description

Red Granites Serengeti is genetically packed on both sides of his pedigree. Sired by, quite possibly the best colored sire in the United States right now, Red Granites Val D Lsere, and out of a Snowmass Velvet Touche daughter who also happens to be a maternal granddaughter of Snowmass Conopa XXX. If you aren't familar with Snowmass Velvet Touche and Snowmass Conopa XXX here are a few things you should know about them. Snowmass Velvet Touche is a two-time Futurity Reserve Color Champion, and is a two-time Futirity Light Herdsire of the Year winner, which is pretty unheard of for a Herdsire of color to win. He is a pre-potent Herdsire who has done wonders for the alpaca industry and has offspring breeding and winning all over the world. Snowmass Conopa XXX is a champion fawn Herdsire who's fleece was described by Julie Skinner as " high frequency of tight merino vicuna crimp with extreme density forming tight clusters of uniformly crimped fibers." He sold at a Snowmass Auction years ago to a breeder in Canada, and has sadly since passed away, but not after making a huge impression on Candian breeding programs and breeding programs worldwide.

We've made our share of "freaks" around here and this guy certainly ranks amoung the most impressive of them. When you double up with Snowmass Conopa XXX then cross it with Snowmass Velvet Touche and add a touch of Snowmass Mr Sizlin Rose, you get triple the exotic, triple the uniformity, tripe bone substance, and an insanely fine, fine fleece.

Not only is the touch and expression impressive in this guy, he still walks around on great feet and legs, has correct balance and proportions and has a big time look to him.
