We had long planned to retain Red Granites Aphrodite in our own breeding program. From the moment we unexpectedly lost her sire in 2022, we earmarked her as a key female to carry forward his genetics. However, after much deliberation and with great difficulty, we have decided to offer her for sale. While Aphrodite remains a top-tier female, she simply isn’t being utilized to her full potential within our current lineup. We believe she will have a far greater impact in a program where she can be more actively used and appreciated.

Aphrodite is the daughter of Red Granites Premonitions Macho, one of the finest white males we’ve ever produced and proudly stood at stud here at Red Granite Ranch. Macho was a standout in our breeding program, maintaining elite fleece traits even into his senior years. Just a year prior to his passing at 11 years old, Macho held an impressive 21.2 micron fleece, with a 3.9 SD and an 18.5% CV—testament to the retained fineness and uniformity of his fiber. Macho's lineage is equally compelling, being a son of a Snowmass Sub-Zero male and a daughter of the legendary 4Peruvian Legacy.

Aphrodite’s maternal line brings even more powerhouse genetics into the mix, including Caligula’s Accoyo Poseidon and, once again, 4Peruvian Legacy. With this genetic background, Aphrodite has the potential to produce stunning white offspring, and given her background, there’s also the possibility for exceptional colored crias.

She is a well-grown, robust young female with strong conformation and presence. Since relocating to a different barn, she’s developed a bit of an independent streak, some might say she has a little "attitude", but it only adds to her personality. Her EPDs are solid across the board, with exceptional scores for staple length, closely followed by fineness and uniformity. This positions her as a valuable asset for breeders focused on fleece quality and fiber production.

Aphrodite sells with a non-transferable maiden breeding, and we’ve carefully considered who would be an ideal match for her. Our top recommendations are Red Granites Aragon (Ee Aa3) or his son, Ironhide Vapor (EE a2a3), both of whom would offer the opportunity to produce an elite colored 2026 cria. If your breeding goals are more aligned with white or light-colored offspring, a Val D Lsere–line son would also complement her extremely well.
