Denali is an Athabascan word meaning “the high one”: Red Granites Denali is a young male whom we know will grow into a super-star, his genetics and fast growing are proving this to be true every day.

Bred to be black, he missed out on the memo - but we know he can cover it as his sire passed down an “a” allele! Despite him not being the color we wished for, he has exceptional fleece traits and an incredible phenotype and bone structuring and we can't wait to get him breeding in our dark program.

Denali is built like a brick house. He has incredible bone mass, which is very strong and even. His movements are free and fluid. To add, he has incredible phenotype and style to him. Full coverage from his head to his toes, quite literally. His fleece doesn't disappoint. It has an incredible frequency to it and is long-stapled. Density isn't an issue with this male. He has one of the densest fleeces of his cria class. He also had a soft handle to his fleece and is holding a nice micron while maturing.

Denali is sired by our extraordinary roan Supreme Champion & Futurity Judges’ Choice winner; Red Granites Alydar By Val D'Isere. Alydar has offspring have been winning from coast to coast shows. Denali is out of a multiple champion true black daughter of our late Kirwin; Red Granites Denae. Denae is the dam of Red Granites Sizlin Dosita, our Futurity & National Black Champion (x2, fleece & halter) who also won a Judges’ Choice under Wade Gease. Dosita is one of the finest blacks we have bred and seen. In 2021, at 4 years of age, Denae has a 20.2 micron with 3.9 SD, that's incredible...!
