Description

Red Granites Bon Jovi is a male of genetics that yield high shear weight and long stapled animals. Two names to prove this would be: Crescent Moon's Shiftin Gears (maternal-grandfather) and Greener Pastures Pearl Jam (paternal-grandfather), both are multiple champions in their own rights.

Bon Jovi doesn't have the most attractive head type, but if bred to a consist line of shorter muzzled females we know that'll be an easy fix from our experience with this specific lineage. He has a stunning frame with large bones and great capacity and size for his age, overall he is a perfect junior Herdsire candidate...

In 2023, he sheared 7.5 pounds of fleece that tested at 5.51 inches (140.0mm) with a micron of 18.6 and an SD of 3.9 - pretty impressive in our eyes considering he was previously cria shorn in August of 2022, leaving him with about 10 months of fleece growth. His sire, at 7 years of age in 2023, sheared 11.8 pounds of fleece with a 4.25 in staple (108mm) in 2023, he ranks as the 39th male in the country for Fleece Weight on his 2022 EPD stats.

Red Granites Bon Jovi in stacked himself with his EPD traits. He ranks in the Top 5% for SDAFD and FW, Top 10% for SF, %>30, and %M, while ranking in the Top 15% for AFD and MC.

His COI is 0.0%.

He would be a great addition to a serious breeder focusing on Fleece Weight and Length with lingering fineness!
