Description

Genetically packed on both sides of his pedigree, Red Granites Caribou is easily one of the best males of his cria class, he not only has the looks but the statistics to back himself up.

Sired by our "rising star" of a Herdsire, Red Granites McCoy and by a maternal line that has produced our most stunning huacayas to date. Caribou's dam Red Granites Celine, is the daughter of MFI Peruvian Criativity who at 10-years-old had a micron of 20.9, but that is to be expected with her being a direct daughter of Mister Antonio. MFI Peruvian Criativity is not only the dam of Celine, but the dam of RGR Britches By Val D Lsere (Color Champion and Best Bred & Owned winner, 14.6 AFD and 61.7 CURV in 2019 as a pinto, Owned by Roaring Acres Alpacas) and Red Granites Chisholm (four-time champion and fleece Judges' Choice winner as a juvenile, 2.8 SD as a juvenile, Co-Owned with Sopris Alpacas), two next generation males with the most elite fiber characteristics. This maternal line is known for producing the BEST Herdsire prospects...But with adding the genetics of Red Granites McCoy (Snowmass Matrix Majesty and Snowmass XXXTreme) we now created a male who will dominate the side of producing the highest quality of colored offspring with sacraficing fleece charateristics that everyone wants.

Phenotypically, Caribou combines an exquisite silhouette with a tremendous amount of width and dimension in his chest and rear end.
