Description
At Plateau Breeze Ranch, every alpaca carries a story woven through time, pedigree, and the artistry of careful breeding. JIPA Thunder Bella is no exception—she is a masterpiece in motion, aging with grace and excellence, her fleece as striking as ever.
As one of the few daughters of Alpaca Palace Houdini’s Thunderbolt offered at PBR, Thunder Bella is everything you’d expect—gorgeous, balanced, and undeniably elite. Her fleece is breathtaking, with lasting fineness, high-frequency crimp, and extreme staple length, passed down through a lineage that reads like a who’s who of alpaca royalty. Names like Alpaca Palaces Houdini, Accoyo America Alpenglow, and Victor line her pedigree, ensuring that her quality is not just good—it’s extraordinary. Whether it’s conformation, fleece quality, or undeniable presence, Thunder Bella is the total package, the kind of female who strengthens programs and leaves a lasting imprint on future generations. If you’re looking to add depth, pedigree, and perfection to your herd, Thunder Bella is a game-changer—and we couldn’t be more proud to call her part of the Plateau Breeze Ranch family.
JIPA Thunder Bella carries a quiet but genetically loaded color foundation, built from the Alpenglow, Houdini, and Victor lines—three families known for producing pigment instability, dilution drift, and the ability to unlock pattern when paired with the right sire. Her sire, Alpaca Palace Houdini’s Thunderbolt, is now confirmed to be a true appaloosa/harlequin carrier, proven through multiple patterned offspring, including Bella herself and her half sibling Carmella. This means Bella inherited an active pattern allele, even though her phenotype presents as white, beige, light fawn, and medium fawn. Her dam, TWF Cella, contributes the Victor-line color depth and the Alpenglow dilution modifiers that allow pattern alleles to express more dramatically in the next generation. Bella’s own “farm spitting” pattern—irregular fawn patches on a light base—reflects partial expression of the harlequin/appaloosa system, confirming that she is not just a carrier but a mildly expressed patterned female. This makes her a high-value producer for loud appaloosa or harlequin crias when bred to a patterned male.
Her sire, Alpaca Palace Houdini’s Thunderbolt, is a true champion, a compact powerhouse with dense, superfine fleece and an impeccable frame. His lineage brings together some of the best genetics in the alpaca world, with Hemingway, Bueno, Nautilus, and Vengador in the mix—an elite combination that has made waves in both the show ring and breeding programs. Meanwhile, her dam, TWF Peruvian Cella, adds strength, structure, and fineness, reinforcing Thunder Bella’s genetic excellence.
