We expected Rush to be an EeAa - non-grey but to our surprise, he came back as Eeaa! As expected, he does carry one dilution gene but he does also carry the double black ASIP mutation alleles.

Rush combines great lineage including Wingman (Bea2Bomber), MMR Marcoyo and Snowmass Truly XXXtreme on his paternal side. His dam Pure Romance is one of our favorite solid colour females in our program and is the result of the Snowmass Conopa XXX line crossed with the Snowmass Pure Reserve XX (Pure Passion) line. This genetic combination has yield many Judge Choice and Colour Champions over the years.

This medium size boy has great coverage from head to toe. He carries an amazing amount of fleece which displays good fineness, uniformity, appreciable brightness and a well-defined crimp. Once ready to join a hersire row, Rush will be able to produce black progeny when bred to the right females! We have decided to put him up for sale as he is highly related to our female herd as well as many of our current herdsires. We hope to find him a great breeding program where he can be used to his full potential!

UPDATE Spring 2025: Rush wins Reserve Colour Champion in the brown male category! This male showed in Fawn as a juvie but was placed in Brown category (LB) in the Alpaga Québec 2025 halter show. He placed 2nd out of 5 yearling brown males and won the Reserve out of 8 brown males! Great results considering this boy is the product of classic grey lineage!
