And on 9/14/2023 she presented us with a handsome bay black male cria with true black points (Blade's Blacksmythe). He's spunky and we think with his parentage and color he will make one fine future herdsire!

    Description

    Here's BLACKSMYTHE! And what a beautiful color, BAY BLACK, with only 4.38% of the U.S. registered alpacas this color! We are very pleased with the result of breeding our Valorie with medium silver gray FDA Deacon Grey Silver Blade! Well, of course we were going for gray, but this is a very coveted and rare color as well.

    With this breeding we expected some great fleece, a great histogram and a wonderful EPD . . . and he's proven us correct!

    We are hoping to see what he can do for us in herdsire realm. Can he pass on his stunning black color, long staple, fineness, and possible ability to pass on grey, and his beautiful head, and his calm, sweet nature, and . . . .? Well, we are smitten!
