Echo

SaanenBuck (male)White
ADGA# S002120980DOB: 5/28/20197 yrs
Echo was a very exciting animal to bring into my herd. His genetics are hard to beat!! His FF dam Timandra (pictured) produced 12.1lbs on milk test at just 6 weeks fresh! Timandra's dam, Tinuviel, had a solid 2800lb peak production year, and has consistently produced daughters with higher production that herself (including Timandra's full sister who produced 4130 lbs/milk in a 344 day lactation). Echo's sire, Yankee Doodle (pictured), is an Elite buck, scoring 92 EEE! Doodle's dam (pictured) produced an incredible 5267 lbs/milk, 193 lbs/butterfat and 176 lbs/protein in a 310 day lactation as a 3 year old... Absolutely staggering. Doodle's daughters are coming out extremely impressive as well. The milk test info that I have access to (thank you Copper Penny Ranch!), has a couple of his daughters producing 3285lb in 275 DIM (Days In Milk) and 4020lb in 320 DIM... My only freshened daughter of his (so far) has a very pretty udder and is producing nearly a gallon a day at only 7 weeks fresh. I'm very impressed with her! Unfortunately, Echo passed away the January after I got him. His 4 precious daughters will be very important in my herd moving forward, and one of their 2022 bucklings will be my new herd sire.

Jewel

Guernsey/Saanen/LaManchaSr. Doe (female)White
DOB: 5/22/20188 yrs
Jewel is an awesome milker who is now residing at a close friend's house. I have one of her daughters in my herd currently, and will be getting another back from my friend. Jewel is 50% Guernsey, 25% Saanen, and 25% LaMancha-mix. A quirky combination of genetics, but she's a solid, gorgeous doe with fantastic production! She is also one of THE easiest goats I've ever milked in my life. Perfect teats, large orifices, easy let-down. If I wasn't focused on trying to build my Saansey herd, she would absolutely still be in my barn.

Service Sire:
Bravo

2nd gen Saansey

Bravo

SaanseyBuck (male)Gold
DOB: 3/18/20224 yrs
A handsome polled boy out of my best doe, who could ask for more! Well, I do. I also want a spectacular personality, and this guy has it in spades. Even in rut I can handle him with one finger hooked through his collar. He never tries to force his way through gates, but the second I clip on a leash he trots right through. Once his job is done it just takes a couple firm tugs and he follows me back home. He's respectful to the ladies and doesn't hound does that won't stand for him. He's also (out of rut) very kind to smaller bucks that live with him. Once in rut he'll pound them of course, but during spring and summer he gets along with absolutely everybody. I've probably had a couple hundred bucks over the years, and Bravo is my second favorite of all time. Another great thing about him, is how well he does living on forage. He's smart and athletic despite his size, and gets fat every summer on blackberries. My other favorite thing is that he's soooo quiet. If Bravo calls to me, he's letting me know that his pasture is out of food and he needs to be moved. Besides calling to girls in heat, it's the only noise he ever makes. I almost sold him last year to keep his son out of Fern, but couldn't bring myself to do it. He's the sweetest, smartest boy and I love him. **I had a friend come over with a doe that didn't want to stand for Bravo. He would follow her around and flirt, she'd tell him to shove off, and he would just stop... Made my friend wonder if he had low drive, but trust me, that isn't it. He's just an actually respectful buck... Eventually she stood, and he got the job done!

Nugget came out just about the tiniest baby I've ever seen... Hence the name. She got an extra season to catch up and is still smaller than my other 2020 yearlings. Between that and her not-quite-Saansey-yet breed percentage, I will be letting her go to a friend of mine after she kids this year. I kept her normal-sized doeling AND buckling last year, because her udder is absolutely magnificent and she produced a steady 8-9lbs per day!

Check out her parents!!
