Echo

SaanenBuck (male)White
ADGA# S002120980DOB: 5/28/20197 yrs
Echo was a very exciting animal to bring into my herd. His genetics are hard to beat!! His FF dam Timandra (pictured) produced 12.1lbs on milk test at just 6 weeks fresh! Timandra's dam, Tinuviel, had a solid 2800lb peak production year, and has consistently produced daughters with higher production that herself (including Timandra's full sister who produced 4130 lbs/milk in a 344 day lactation). Echo's sire, Yankee Doodle (pictured), is an Elite buck, scoring 92 EEE! Doodle's dam (pictured) produced an incredible 5267 lbs/milk, 193 lbs/butterfat and 176 lbs/protein in a 310 day lactation as a 3 year old... Absolutely staggering. Doodle's daughters are coming out extremely impressive as well. The milk test info that I have access to (thank you Copper Penny Ranch!), has a couple of his daughters producing 3285lb in 275 DIM (Days In Milk) and 4020lb in 320 DIM... My only freshened daughter of his (so far) has a very pretty udder and is producing nearly a gallon a day at only 7 weeks fresh. I'm very impressed with her! Unfortunately, Echo passed away the January after I got him. His 4 precious daughters will be very important in my herd moving forward, and one of their 2022 bucklings will be my new herd sire.

Marilyn

Saanen/Sable/LaManchaJr. Doe (female)White
DOB: 5/13/20197 yrs
Marilyn is the cross of two very exciting goats that I brought in. Her dam, Willow, is 3/4 Saanen and 1/4 LaMancha from the incomparable Tempo Passa herd in Oregon. Her sire, Paladin, was 3/4 Sable 1/4 LaMancha from Trinity Valley Farm in Washington and was the grandson of the all-time milk production record holder for sables... This combination, while unconventional, gave me everything I wanted from the cross. Marilyn is a powerhouse of a doe with a fantastic udder and excellent production. Unfortunately, right after she was born, I decided to sell all of my LaMancha-cross goats and one of my close friends has her now. But I get babies back now and then! I figure 1/8 LaMancha is low enough ;)

Aspen's genetics were a long time coming, but boy was it worth it... Aspen has multiple champion bloodlines in her pedigree and it shows. As a 2yo FF only 3 weeks fresh, she was giving us 10lb (5 quarts) of milk each day and holding body condition effortlessly without any special feeds.

I desperately wanted her to give me a herd sire this year, but she decided that twin doelings would be more fun! Oh well! I'll just keep both of them instead. And luckily, my lovely friends who bought her said I could try again for a herd sire in the future! And I absolutely will, because she is a certifiable bombshell, baby.
