Colusa Riverside Alpaca Ranch: 18 Years in the Making
Great white fiber doesn't happen by accident. At Colusa Riverside, it's the result of nearly two decades of deliberate breeding and careful herd-building and it shows in the numbers. Our herdsires rank in the top 1–15% across the majority of fleece traits, with fineness and density as our standout strengths. Every animal we offer comes with EPDs that do more than describe your alpaca, they predict how it will improve your future offspring's fiber. That's the difference between hoping for quality and knowing you're building toward it.
What sets us apart:
* Nearly two decades of selective breeding focused on measurable fiber improvement
* Herdsires consistently ranking in the top percentile for fleece traits
* Full transparency — we share recent histograms and EPDs with every customer, no matter their experience level
* Regionally competitive pricing on animals of this caliber
* A relationship that doesn't end at the sale — we're here for the long haul
Specializing in white alpaca genetics and breeding stock, we hold ourselves to a simple standard: EPD values in the top 1–15% across the entire trait spectrum, backed by real data, not guesswork. Whether you're an experienced breeder or considering your first purchase, you'll see the quality the moment you look at our histograms, and you'll have a team behind you well after the sale closes.

"Proven Genetics, Measurable Results"
Colusa Riverside Alpacas helps you raise the bar on your herd, whether you're building through breeding or adding proven females to your operation. Our goal is simple: help you produce show-quality white crias, generation after generation.
Our white female herd and breeding males are selected for genotype and phenotype that consistently drive measurable improvement in offspring. The numbers back it up. In 2025, 11 of our dams sheared between 9.1 and 15 pounds of fleece, a testament to the density and volume our genetics bring to the table.
What our males contribute to your breeding program:
1. Greater fleece density
2. Increased fleece weight
3. Improved fineness
4. Better uniformity of fineness across the blanket
If your fleece appraisals have been held back by density, this is where we can make the difference.
