Aurora Alpacas is a host for 2024 Alberta Open Farm Days
2026 ALBERTA Open Farm Days - August 15 & 16
If you are curious about alpacas & the amazing fiber products and how they are produced come visit Aurora Alpacas to learn & experience this unique livestock firsthand. Learn to love alpacas like we do by getting a chance to:
- Ask questions and gain 1st-hand knowledge about what makes alpacas so unique
- Take photos and watch them in the pasture and up close
- Handle fiber shorn from the alpaca this past spring, and samples from the various stages of processing fiber into yarn
- Watch spinning/weaving demonstrations
- Visit the marketplace to purchase yarn, alpaca products, and alpaca novelty items. We've invited other local vendors to join us. (Cash, debit/credit accepted).
On site we will also have el Mero Mero Taco Truck specializing in Mexican cuisine (Sunday only).
This is a FREE event and an experience for the entire family. We look forward to sharing our amazing alpacas with you!
2026 SPRING ALPACA HALTER SHOW - April 4-5, 2026 (past event)
Join us at the Point (Agricultural Event Center) in Sherwood Park. Judge for this show is Jacob Hart from the US.
2025 FALL ALPACA HALTER & FLEECE SHOW - October 18, 2025 (past event)
Come & join us at the 2025 Fall Alpaca Halter Show on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the new Agricultural Event Center in Sherwood Park. Our judge for this show comes all the way from Ireland.
- Opportunity to meet alpacas and farm owners
- Hands-on opportunity with unique livestock
- Visit the vendors for quality alpaca products
This is a FREE EVENT that will provide a great experience for the entire family.
