Sweet Gunner was my prince. Gentle and easy to handle 100% of the time, even in rut, his loving personality is carried on through his multiple daughters and granddaughters on my farm. I've had a lot of lucky purchases in my day, but Gunner changed my whole life. As soon as I met him I was done for. He was not only the sweetest goat in the world, he was incredibly calm and clever. If a bigger goat tried to bully him, Gunner would find a way to get out of the confrontation without losing face. He would literally confuse the other buck until he was left alone... He never picked on anybody, and any goat of any age could eat with him. His daughters carry that same gentle cleverness as well. But beyond even that, he also regularly IMPROVES udders. If you know anything about Guernseys, you know how incredible that is... Guernseys in the US have several common weaknesses due to the lack of genetic diversity. And the main one is udders... Gunner did occasionally throw a dud udder, but for the most part his daughter's udders are either equally as good as their dam, or a marked improvement! And my favorite trait that he somehow manages to throw EVERY TIME... Perfectly-shaped, perfectly-sized teats with large orifices. Every single one of his daughters is easy to milk. Every one of them. It's incredible. Not every beginner breeding program starts with a good buck, much less a great one. I got so very lucky... I'll miss him forever.

Sybil was an incredibly lucky addition to my herd, thank you Karina! I was NOT looking for another doe, but who can say no to a doe that is linebred on the incomparable SGCH Des-Ruhigestelle Winseeker!! Sybil has given me 2 of my favorite Saansey milkers (both with excellent production), and provided a herd sire for a dear friend in Oregon. She is huge and powerful, produced nearly 1.5 gallons of milk a day, and always healthy and strong. Incredible robust genetics in that girl...

Fern is hands-down the easiest goat I've ever had... Never a moment's trouble in her ENTIRE life. No health issues, never a bad attitude, and was trained to the milkstand without any fuss at all.

Fern definitely takes after her Guernsey papa, being significantly daintier than her powerhouse mama. I was worried that the daintier frame might make her less productive, but as a first freshener this girl produced 7.9 to 8.2 pounds, every SINGLE day until breeding season. Hot or cold, eating alfalfa or timothy or just foraging, it didn't matter. 8 pounds, every day, like clockwork..

Now, at the start of her 3rd freshening, she's well over 10lb daily!

Plus her udder is nearly PERFECTLY balanced, with symmetrical teats and large orifices that make milking her a breeze.
Healthy, happy, EASY, and producing like nobody's business... Fern is my literal dream goat, and if I could have an entire barn just like her, I would!
If only she would give me some doelings... 7 bucklings so far! sigh.

**I bred Fern to Prince. Fingers crossed for doelings. Finally. Any doelings will be retained, bucklings will be available.

Side note: Less than 4 months after Fern kidded the first time, I was talking to Mom about the fact that I had only kept 2 first fresheners that year. Mom couldn't remember who the second one was, and when I reminded her that it was Fern, her jaw actually dropped. She had completely forgotten that Fern was a FF... Fern was already so steady, so reliable, so calm and easy, that it just didn't compute.
