Sweet faced boy at 11mo

Sweet faced boy at 11mo

Cutest hairdo ever! Very long rump As a baby

2nd Gen Saansey

Trip

Goat, Saansey, Buck (male) | White

DOB: 3/18/2025 (1 yr)

Sire:
Bravo

2nd gen Saansey

Bravo

SaanseyBuck (male)Gold
DOB: 3/18/20224 yrs
A handsome polled boy out of my best doe, who could ask for more! Well, I do. I also want a spectacular personality, and this guy has it in spades. Even in rut I can handle him with one finger hooked through his collar. He never tries to force his way through gates, but the second I clip on a leash he trots right through. Once his job is done it just takes a couple firm tugs and he follows me back home. He's respectful to the ladies and doesn't hound does that won't stand for him. He's also (out of rut) very kind to smaller bucks that live with him. Once in rut he'll pound them of course, but during spring and summer he gets along with absolutely everybody. I've probably had a couple hundred bucks over the years, and Bravo is my second favorite of all time. Another great thing about him, is how well he does living on forage. He's smart and athletic despite his size, and gets fat every summer on blackberries. My other favorite thing is that he's soooo quiet. If Bravo calls to me, he's letting me know that his pasture is out of food and he needs to be moved. Besides calling to girls in heat, it's the only noise he ever makes. I almost sold him last year to keep his son out of Fern, but couldn't bring myself to do it. He's the sweetest, smartest boy and I love him. **I had a friend come over with a doe that didn't want to stand for Bravo. He would follow her around and flirt, she'd tell him to shove off, and he would just stop... Made my friend wonder if he had low drive, but trust me, that isn't it. He's just an actually respectful buck... Eventually she stood, and he got the job done!

Fern

1st gen Saansey

Fern

SaanseyDoe (female)White
DOB: 5/3/20206 yrs
Fern is hands-down the easiest goat I've ever had... Never a moment's trouble in her ENTIRE life. No health issues, never a bad attitude, and was trained to the milkstand without any fuss at all. Fern definitely takes after her Guernsey papa, being significantly daintier than her powerhouse mama. I was worried that the daintier frame might make her less productive, but as a first freshener this girl produced 7.9 to 8.2 pounds, every SINGLE day until breeding season. Hot or cold, eating alfalfa or timothy or just foraging, it didn't matter. 8 pounds, every day, like clockwork.. Now, at the start of her 3rd freshening, she's well over 10lb daily! Plus her udder is nearly PERFECTLY balanced, with symmetrical teats and large orifices that make milking her a breeze. Healthy, happy, EASY, and producing like nobody's business... Fern is my literal dream goat, and if I could have an entire barn just like her, I would! If only she would give me some doelings... 7 bucklings so far! sigh. **I bred Fern to Prince. Fingers crossed for doelings. Finally. Any doelings will be retained, bucklings will be available. Side note: Less than 4 months after Fern kidded the first time, I was talking to Mom about the fact that I had only kept 2 first fresheners that year. Mom couldn't remember who the second one was, and when I reminded her that it was Fern, her jaw actually dropped. She had completely forgotten that Fern was a FF... Fern was already so steady, so reliable, so calm and easy, that it just didn't compute.

Trip is line bred on Sybil and I can't wait to see what he can do in my herd!

I was going to keep him and sell his sire, but I just couldn't do it. Bravo is my favorite buck. So I bred 3 does to Trip and he can go improve someone else's herd ??
